We’re specifically designed for college students and young adults looking to make everyday activities more social, with a focus on spontaneous, in-the-moment connections rather than formal events planned far in advance.
Slide Thru is primarily designed for anyone who wants to be more active and do interesting things with others. It’s perfect for anyone who’s new to a city, looking to expand their social circle, or just wants to turn solo activities into shared experiences.
Yes! Slide Thru operates on a freemium model. The basic features are completely free, allowing you to create and join plans, participate in communities, and build your profile. Premium features, such as boosting your plans for more visibility or accessing advanced filters, require coins or a premium subscription.
Download the Slide Thru app from the App Store or Google Play, then sign up using your email, phone number, or social media accounts. You’ll be prompted to create a profile with your interests, a photo, and basic information to help connect you with like-minded people.
While you need to create a profile to use Slide Thru, you control how much information you share. However, to build trust in the community, we encourage users to verify their profiles. You can always choose who sees your full profile information.
Tap on your profile icon, then select “Edit Profile” to update your photos, interests, bio, and other information. You can also adjust your privacy settings and verification level from your profile page.
Tap the “+” button on the home screen, then select “Create Plan.” Fill in the details about what you’re doing, when and where it’s happening, how many people you’re looking for, and whether it’s public or private. You can add photos, tags, and other details to make your plan stand out.
Browse available plans on the home screen or search for specific types of activities. When you find a plan you’d like to join, tap “Request to Join” and add a brief message to the host. If approved, you’ll receive a notification and gain access to the plan details and group chat.
Yes, you can cancel a plan at any time. We encourage hosts to give participants as much notice as possible if plans change. Frequent cancellations may affect your user rating.
Slide Thru is designed for social activities and meetups. Plans must comply with our community guidelines and terms of service. Prohibited activities include illegal activities, commercial solicitation, or anything that violates our safety policies. We encourage users to report any inappropriate plans.
Communities are similar to Discord servers—they’re groups organized around shared interests, schools, neighborhoods, or activities. Communities can have multiple channels for different topics and can organize events specifically for community members.
Absolutely! You can join as many communities as you’d like. Your community feed will show activities and discussions from all your communities.
Communities are primarily moderated by their creators and designated moderators. Slide Thru also has platform-wide community guidelines and our support team reviews reported content or behavior. Community creators can set their own additional rules and guidelines.
While we don’t conduct background checks on all users, our verification system helps establish identity and build trust. Users with higher verification levels have provided more information to confirm their identity. We encourage users to meet in public places and take normal safety precautions when meeting new people.
