Email Domain Information:
If you sign up with a school or organizational email, we store the email domain and verification status. We use this only to display a non-intrusive badge on your profile and plans.
We do not restrict who you can view or interact with.

Verification Information:
Selfies or other profile images are used for face verification by comparing a real time selfie with users profile picture. Verification media is not shared with other users or 3rd Parties. The verification media is immediately discarded after comparison.

Content:
Meetup posts, messages, photos, and any media or text you share.

Payment Information:
Processed securely by third-party providers. We do not store full payment details.


B. Information We Collect Automatically

Device Information:
Device type, operating system, IP address, device identifiers, app version.

Usage Data:
Meetups viewed, filters applied, meetups created or joined, taps, actions, chat interactions, and timestamps.

Location Data:
With your permission, we collect approximate or precise location to show meetups near you.
Your location is never shared with other users and is used only for discovery and app functionality.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies:
Used for performance, analytics, and improving your experience.


C. Third-Party Event Data

We may display publicly available event listings from third-party sources (venues, event pages, etc.).
We collect event information only, never personal data.
If you interact with a third-party link, their privacy policies apply.


2. How We Use Your Information

A. With Other Users

Depending on your actions:

  • Your name, profile photo, and select profile fields may be visible in the app.

  • Public meetups show your name and host info to all users.

  • Private meetups show the host but hide meetup details until participants are approved.

  • Hidden meetups are accessible only via shared link.

  • Chat messages are visible only to participants in that meetup.

Email domain badges (e.g., “drexel.edu”) may appear next to your name.
We never disclose your full email address.


B. With Service Providers

We share limited information with vendors who help us operate the Service, such as:

  • Cloud hosting

  • Analytics

  • Payment processors

  • Crash reporting

  • Customer support

  • Communication tools

They may only use your data to support Slide Thru.


C. With Event Sources

If you click an external event link, we may send basic interaction data so the destination page functions properly.
We do not share personal information unless required to complete the action.

  • This badge helps users understand affiliation and build trust.

  • You may disable domain association at any time.

  • Domain verification does not restrict who can view or join meetups.


5. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the Service

  • Maintain your account

  • Fulfill legal obligations

  • Resolve disputes

You may delete your account at any time.
Deletion permanently removes your personal information except where retention is required by law or safety review.
